Oakland PAL has decades of direct experience managing youth programs. During those years, PAL has continued to grow in response to community needs and to involve itself in collaborative efforts with other youth-serving agencies in order to maximize our effectiveness.
The Oakland PAL Board of Directors serve without pay and PAL programs are supervised by Oakland Police Officers and community members who volunteer their time.
The PAL programs reach more than 7,000 youth annually and all programs are free of charge. Simply put, for a child to join, all a parent has to do is sign the child up.
The Oakland Police Activities League is totally dependent upon donations to carry out its programs and insure its success.
